Principales conclusiones de la Perspectiva Global de la Energía Eólica

El Consejo Mundial de Energía Eólica (GWEC), en asociación con el Centro de Soluciones Energéticas, está organizando un seminario web sin costo sobre la reciente publicación Global Wind Energy Outlook 2016.

La nueva Perspectiva Mundial de la Energía Eólica 2016 (GWEO) presenta tres visiones del futuro de la industria eólica mundial hasta 2020, 2030 y hasta 2050. Los escenarios comparan el escenario central de la Agencia Internacional de Energía (AIE) de su World Energy Outlook con El Escenario 450 de la AIE y los escenarios Moderado y Avanzado GWEC desarrollados especialmente para este informe.
Los resultados muestran cómo la industria eólica global ofrecerá en términos de suministro de electricidad a nivel mundial, ahorro de emisiones de CO2, empleo, reducción de costos e inversión.

Speaker
Steve Sawyer, Secretary-General of GWEC, has worked in the energy and environment field since 1978, with a particular focus on climate change and renewable energy since 1988. He spent many years working for Greenpeace International, representing the organization at intergovernmental and industry fora primarily on energy and climate issues. At GWEC he is focused on working with intergovernmental organisations such as the UNFCCC, IPCC, IRENA, IEA, IFC and ADB to ensure that wind power takes its rightful place in the energy options for the future; and with opening up new markets for the industry worldwide.
